EARLY CHILDHOOD

Early Intervention

The Children's School for Early Development knows that early diagnosis and treatment can change the life of a child with developmental disabilities.

As a New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) evaluator for children ages birth to three, our multidisciplinary evaluations conducted in the home provide families with the comprehensive developmental information that is needed to determine the best course of intervention for each individual child. Young children from birth through three years of age who are found to be eligible for early intervention services may then access them through The Children’s School.

Ongoing service coordination, special instruction, and speech therapy are all available. In addition, The Children’s School has established a community-based Mommy and Me program that provides young children with developmentally appropriate learning activities and their parents with the guidance needed to navigate and embrace their parenting experience.
