Record Crowd Attended Transition Linkages Fair

We had a record crowd with over 170 in attendance at the 16th Annual Transition Linkages Fair on April 9. With over 56 vendors, 22 professionals and 98 families, this was the largest turnout the committee has seen. The event was sponsored by a team of volunteers from agencies, parents, and schools including The Arc Westchester, Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health, White Plains High School and Lower Hudson RSE-TASC (Regional Special Education Technical Assistance Support Centers.)

This annual event took place at The Arc Westchester Headquarters in Hawthorne and was geared for families, educators, and students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Resources were available to help plan a student’s transition into the adult world. Many vendors and experts in the field offer options and available resources.
