Meet the Poet With Cerebral Palsy Who Unlocked His Potential As A Writer
Bob is an adult who lives with cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder that effects the muscles of the body. He came to Arc of Westchester at the age of 22 from an institution that inhibited him. Thanks to speech therapists who worked with Bob, they were able to unlock Bob's potential to communicate, write and live his fullest life.

Westchester Arc Gleeson-Israel Gateway Center Grand Opening
Westchester Arc opens its new Gleeson Israel Gateway Center in Hawthorne, New York. Five years in the making, the Gleeson-Israel Gateway Center symbolizes the potential and rising expectations of people with developmental disabilities who seek greater roles in community life. It is devoted to providing expanded resources to help people with developmental disabilities make residential, career and recreational choices consistent with personal needs and desires.
