Our Thoughts Are With Our Friends and Families in Hurricane Zones

Posted on : 09/08/2017

As our friends, family, and fellow Americans in Texas recover from Hurricane Harvey, Florida is now in the path of Hurricane Irma, one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean.

Like many of you, we have many connections to Florida and the region through our colleagues at the The Arc of Florida, and through friends and family. We, like you, are praying that this storm does as little impact as possible. We thank all of the first responders, coast guard and national guardsmen who will be risking their lives to protect and rescue those in need.

If Harvey has taught us anything, it’s the amazing resolve, composer, and compassion of the American spirit. We have seen American’s helping American’s; without hesitation or question. We have gone through this before, and we know we can do it again.

From all of us here at the Arc of Westchester, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
